Darcy isn't going to do anything to better this team, what makes anyone think he will. 16 yrs of nothing, Vanek knows better, they should be adding to Vanek not shipping him out the door. Darcy is a fool always has been and always will be.

However, Vanek has to realize who his GM is. Regier over-values his players. Now, that being said, I would over-value Vanek myself. Players who average 32-33 goals a season don't fall off trees.

But, Vanek has to SHUT THE HELL UP about his feelings on this team, because he's not doing his GM any favors. If he thinks it's going to expedite his flight out of Buffalo, he's wrong. Other GM's hear this crap, and they know they'll try and low-ball Regier. And he'll never get moved, because Darcy isn't giving his players away, especially one like Van.

Moulson on this team is not the Moulson that skates on a line with Tavares.

If they would make it Strome (I know, we've discussed him ad nauseum) or Brock Nelson, or even Bailey, I'm in.

Oh, 100% agree. Regier needs to go, quit, get fired, whatever.

And, no, we shouldn't sugarcoat the Sabres organization.

I just feel that it would make it easier on our inept GM to move a disgruntled player if he would just zip it.

Me either. With the way the cap is designed, guys like Vanek and Miller don't have the trade value they once did. It's almost as if services rendered are more value than what a trade can bring, especially if that's the return. Thomas Vanek can make much more happen by himself than Moulson can.

The 1st one might have to happen for the other to come to fruition.

However, for the sake of the Sabres organization, I just hope we can add a couple more pieces to this rebuilding puzzle.....and THEN Darcy gets fired.
